NSR 2009 NATIONAL FINAL

DATE/TIME (all times Eastern): Sunday, March 28, 2010. Track opens 8am for practice. Tech inspection will start at 10am with racing starting at about noon.

GENERAL: Any NSR part can be used with exceptions noted below, see "CHASSIS" and "MOTOR" sections for example. If the rules stated on this page do not indicate a part or tuning method IS allowed, it is NOT allowed.
THE BODY:
Bodies must not be modified or cut in any way-including wheel wells. Cars must start each race with all parts intact (except for mirrors, wipers, antennas) All cars must start with rear wing in place. Bodies can be painted. Simple paint is allowed but all cars must have numbers and look like race cars. Bodies must be attached to chassis using provided screws in stock location. If body screws are run loose, tape must be placed over holes in bottom of chassis. Windows must remain transparent.
CHASSIS:
Stock chassis and stock motor pod only; variable stiffness chassis for each eligible car were not readily available in time for the finals. Any NSR suspension springs allowed. NO TRACTION MAGNETS. No modifications to axle mounts front or rear is permitted. The complete interior must be used and no modification or lightening is allowed. Axle shims and/or stoppers are allowed.
WHEELS AND TIRES:
The stock front and rear wheels may be replaced by any NSR wheels. Rear tires must be Slot.IT S1 or S2 compound silicone, Slot.IT part numbers SIPT03, SIPT06, SIPT17, SIPT18. No F1 tires allowed. Rear tires will be provided by GTSLOTS on race day. Rear tires may extend past body by no more than 1mm (.040). No chemicals may be used on the tires.
GUIDE BLADES/BRAID:
Stock guide blade may be replaced by any NSR guide. Any manufacture braid and wire can be used-must be attached to guide through eyelets and may not be glued or soldered. NSR guide may be lowered by using NSR Pick-up spacers.
MOTOR:
Must use NSR Shark 20k motor provided by GTSLOTS at the race, to be returned to GTSLOTS at race conclusion. Tape for holding the motor in place will be supplied by Great Traditions at the time of tech inspection. Only this tape will be allowed and it will be applied during tech under tech supervision. One (1) piece applied uniformally (an example will be shown) shall be allowed for the sole purpose of holding the motor in place. Holes may be cut out of the tape to allow for cooling over the motor vent holes. No foreign substance(s) and/or objects shall be allowed to hold the tape down or to be placed under the tape as well. The race director will have the final determination if any questions or conflicts arise.
GEARING:
Any gear ratio is allowed using NSR gears.
WEIGHT:
Weight may be added to the inside of the chassis (NO weight may be attached to the underside of the chassis.)
LIGHTING:
May be added (optional)
