RACER RESIN 2010 NJ METRO REGIONAL RACE RESULTS

8 racers from 3 states participated in the 2010 NJ Metro Slotcars Club Racer Resin regional.   After handout Slot.IT orange endbell motors were installed during tech inspection, qualfying was held to group the racers' starting order.  Don Johnson was top qualfyer, followed by Lawrence Jordan and Martin Dixon. 

Racing started with a close battle in the first 10 minute segment, with Paul Pearlman, James Drayton and Lawrence Jordan all posting 73 laps.  Lou Esteves was the first racer to finish all four lanes, and he posted a target of 270 laps to take the lead.

Don Johnson then rotated in, and backed up his top qualifying effort by putting up high lap totals in each of the 4 lanes, finishing with 300 laps. Martin Dixon had some close battles with Don, but in the end, fell 5 laps short of victory, as Don's total held up for the win. Mike Rossbach had some steady runs and had a well deserved 3rd place finish. Paul Pearlman got off to a promising start and was among the top 3 racers, until some gear troubles caused him to lose laps and finally pit to make repairs.

Don Johnson, Martin Dixon, Mike Rossbach and James Drayton won trophies, and qualify for the 2010 North America Final at Great Tradiitions in Philadelphia, PA. Congratulations to the qualifiers, and thanks to all the participants for making it a competitive and fun race event.
