RC REFURB RACER RESIN REGIONAL 2009

DATE/TIMES (all times Eastern): Sunday, 2/14/10.
Times: Doors will open @ 11am for final practice. At 1pm power will be shut down and tech inspection starts. Racing should start around 2:30pm. Each racer will have a minute qualifying run, where starting positions are seeded based on best lap times. Race format will be 10 min. in each lane for a total of 40 minutes, subject to change to based on number of entrants.
ENTRY FEE: $20
LOCATION: RC Refurb, Etc/TP Slot Raceways, Willingboro, NJ. Race will be run at 13v. Click here for picture of the track.
ELIGIBLE CARS:
Any Racer 1/32 car RTR or kit released in North America as of 1/31/10 is eligible. Kits must be complete with all the parts that come in the kit. Click this link for example cars:
THE BODY:
Bodies must not be modified or cut in any way, exception being thinning the resin for tire clearance. Kit cars must have numbers showing on front and sides of the body. Cars must start each race with all parts intact except for mirrors, wipers and antennas. All cars must start with rear wing in place, if it comes on original model. Bodies can be painted. Bodies must be attached to chassis using provided screws in stock location. If body screws are run loose, tape must be placed over holes in bottom of chassis. Car must have interior, including driver with arms and steering wheel. Lexan interiors are allowed. Windows must remain transparent.
CHASSIS:
Racer chassis only w/Slot-it motor pods. NO TRACTION MAGNETS. No Slot.IT suspension of any kind allowed. Inline & sidewinder motor pods only, standard or offset. Sanding edges of motor pods and chassis for float is legal. No modifications to axle mounts front or rear is permitted. Front axle ride height adjusting blocks must be in place. Axle shims and/or stoppers are allowed.
WHEELS AND TIRES:
Racer or Slot.IT wheels must be used. Slot.IT F1 wheels not allowed. Drivers will use their own tires. Rear tires must be silicone, either Slot.IT or Indy Grips, and must show Slot.IT logo, or Indy Grip part number, on tire wall. Any Indy Grip silicone tire allowed on rear, any Slot.IT silicone tire allowed on rear except F1. Slot.IT Zero grips or stock Racer tires can be used on the front. Rear tires may extend past body by no more than 1mm. No chemicals may be used on the tires, including no nail polish or other substance on front tires.
GUIDE BLADES/BRAID:
Any Slot-it or Racer guide blades are allowed. Any manufacture braid and wire can be used-must be attached to guide through Slot-it eyelets and may not be glued or soldered.
MOTOR:
Only Slot-it "Orange endbell" motor is legal (21,500 rpm @ 12volts), supplied by GTSLOTS on race day. Any Slot-it pinion may be used.
GEARING:
Any gear ratio is allowed using Slot-it gears
WEIGHT:
Weight may be added to the inside of the chassis. NO weight may be attached to the underside of the chassis.
LIGHTING:
May be added. (Optional) If used must be Slot-it brand.
